It’s been a few days since I’ve posted, and that’s largely because I’m been super busy at Microsoft Inspire. As I mentioned in my last post, I had a chance to present yesterday. I sat on a panel with three other change management experts, discussing perspectives on the field, OCM’s importance in technology implementation (particularly Microsoft Modern Workplace applications), how to best sustain change, which in my mind, is the place where we as a capability need to take new ground. I’ll share my thoughts in an upcoming blog.
It was interesting to hear the other panelists comments on how they approach change management, while it was also very validating to really see the maturity of our change practice at Perficient. Microsoft is keenly focus on putting the power of their technology directly into users hands, enabling collaboration as we’ve never seen it before. Adoption plays such a key role in that, for without it, the power of the technology is significantly stifled. Fortunately, Microsoft recognizes this, and adoption and change management will be an increasingly key focus area in the coming years.
All in all, it was a huge success, and I was honored to have a chance to play a part, and I had a ton of fun doing it, too!
